AHA recently launched a new class finder on americanheart.org. The ECC Class Connector allows AHA instructors to list their own classes to the website for the general public to find. 12.20.07-Top Ten Research Advances of 2007
Several new studies on genetics and stem cell research, along with studies that continue to debate the use of stents to clear coronary artery blockages, are among the top research advances in heart disease and stroke for 2007, said AHA President Daniel Jones, M.D. Other top studies focused on how lives are saved using a new method of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the effects of dietary sodium reduction, and the underdiagnosis of hypertension in children.
12.1.07-AHA Announces ECG & Pharmacology Course
This course is designed to address a key knowledge gap in Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Pharmacology. The program focuses on specific ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge. The course is a pre-course option for ACLS students and other healthcare providers, or is also intended for ACLS students who need to improve after the ACLS pre-course self-assessment test.
